Common questions.
How much deposit will I need?
For resident expats buying a first home, from 20% up to AED 5M and 30% above; second and investment properties need at least 40%. Off-plan purchases are limited to 50% bank finance. Budget separately for the 4% DLD transfer fee and other purchase costs.
Fixed or variable rate: which is better?
It depends on your plans. Fixed rates hold for an agreed period and suit buyers who want a predictable repayment; variable rates can fall with the market but carry more uncertainty. We model both scenarios against your numbers before you decide.
What if I'm self-employed?
Self-employed residents are assessed on trade licence, audited financials and bank statements rather than a salary certificate. Fewer banks lend to this profile, so we start by identifying which ones do.
